Who we are

Prime Electrical, founded in 1998, is an electrical construction company based in Estcourt, Kwa-Zulu Natal. Later the company grew with offices based now in the Eastern Cape and the Free State area’s performing the following construction activities, Providing Engineering Services with regards to erection, installation, stringing and commissioning of 11 kV to 400kV power transmission lines, constructing of Sub Stations, Rural Electrification and similar Turnkey projects..

  1. 1998

    Prime Electrical established in Estcourt. Fleet were 2 LDV’s and one truck.

  2. 2002

    First Electrification Project in Wakkerstroom for 450 house connections. Completed the project in 28 days. Record still stands until to date.

  3. 2007

    Satellite office opened in East London

  4. 2010

    Official Office opened in East London by Anton Bure.

  5. 2014

    Prime Electrical rolled out its first Learnership Program in Electrical Engineering Level 2 (Distribution). 15 Learners were enrolled with the Master Artisan Academy of South-Africa.

  6. 2014

    New fleet introduced due to high work demand.

  7. 2015

    Joint Venture between Prime Electrical and SPP on the Cahora Bassa Emergency Standby 533kV HVDC Line Emergency Standby Project and Cahora Bassa 533kV HVDC Line Strengthening of Limpopo, Muanetse & Save River Crossings Project.

    First 132kV power transmission line in Port Elizabeth: Kudu Melkhout 132 kV Line Project.

  9. 2015

    First 132kV power transmission line in Humansdorp: Diepriver 132kV Line Project on a wind farm.

  10. 2016

    First 400kV Line Project: Ariadne Eros 400kV Line Project.

  11. 2017

    Satellite offices opened in Bloemfontein and Northern Cape – Petrusville.

  12. 2018

    Acquired ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certification status on the 20th Year Anniversary.
